2026 Fall League – Colorado NFL FLAG (Coed)

Join one of the largest NFL FLAG leagues in the country and experience a season full of skill development, teamwork, and competition.

Program Options

NFL FLAG 5v5 League

Our primary and most popular league format. This is a traditional team based NFL FLAG season featuring weekly games, standings, and a Division Tournament to close out the season. Teams are formed by age, school, and experience level to promote fair and balanced competition. If necessary, divisions may adjust to 5v5, 4v4, or Game Day Series to maintain balanced and competitive play based on registration numbers.

All Girls League (GPFF)

A girls only NFL FLAG experience focused on development, confidence, and competition in an empowering environment.
In Kansas City, Girls Play Flag Football is offered in the High School division only, featuring a 7v7 team based format played on Sundays with an emphasis on advanced gameplay, route concepts, timing, and coverage recognition.
If necessary, divisions may adjust to 5v5 or 4v4 to maintain balanced and competitive play based on registration numbers.

Touchdown for Tots (Ages 3–5)

Empowering the Next Generation of Athletes
Get ready to score some fun and skills with our Touchdown for Tots program. This fun and energetic introduction to flag football is designed specifically for preschool aged athletes. We focus on movement, coordination, teamwork, and building confidence in a safe and encouraging environment. No previous experience is necessary.

GameDay Series

A game first developmental experience focused on maximum reps and real gameplay. This program features randomized teams, continuous play, no standings, and a low pressure environment built for learning and confidence building.

Season Overview

This outdoor Fall season includes
  • Uniform pick up
  • Meet & Greet and Practice Day
  • League games
  • Division Tournament
Boys and girls ages 5–18 are welcome to play. Teams are formed by age, school, and experience level to promote balanced and competitive play.

Age Cutoff

The age cutoff for all divisions is August 1. Players are placed in divisions based on their age as of this date. Players with birthdays on August 2 or later will remain in the younger division for the entire season.

Practice and Games

Practice
Teams practice 1 hour before each game at the same field location. The program is designed for a 1 hour practice and 1 hour game each week.
Some teams may choose to hold additional optional practices at local schools or parks. These fields are not reserved by the league. Participation in any additional practices is optional and will not impact a player’s playing time or result in any penalties.

Game Schedule

The season runs for 7 total weeks and includes
  • 5 regular season games
  • 1 bye or make up week
  • Division Tournament or consolation game
Game days and times vary by location
  • Friday evenings between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM
Primary Play Days by Location:
Fridays – Golden
Saturdays – Arvada
Sundays – All other locations
All times are subject to change based on field availability and enrollment.

Travel and Format Notes

Travel to nearby locations may be required depending on registration numbers and division availability.

Format and Team Play (Coed NFL FLAG)

Our league is designed to support player development at every level as athletes build skills and confidence.
All divisions are primarily structured for 5v5 play, focusing on fundamentals, spacing, and building a strong foundation in the game. Based on registration numbers, some divisions may adjust to 4v4 or Game Day Series to ensure balanced teams and increased playing time.
For High School divisions, formats vary to provide the best competitive experience:
  • High School Boys compete in a 5v5 format
  • High School Girls (GPFF) compete in a 7v7 format played on Sundays
  • Coming Spring 2027: High School coed divisions will transition to a full 7v7 format
If necessary, divisions may adjust to maintain balanced and competitive play based on registration numbers.
Teams are formed based on registration, with players grouped by age, school, and experience level to create the most positive and balanced experience possible for all athletes.

Free agents may be placed evenly across teams within each division to ensure balanced rosters. All teams are subject to having players added throughout the registration process.

GPFF Format and Team Play (Colorado)

For our 14U and High School Girls Play Flag Football (GPFF) divisions, the format is primarily 7v7 across all Colorado locations, creating a more advanced and competitive experience.
If necessary, divisions may adjust to 5v5, 4v4, or 3v3 to maintain balanced and competitive play based on registration numbers.

High School Divisions – Important Information

High School divisions are offered separately for boys and girls, with formats designed to create the best competitive experience for each group.

High School Boys Division (5v5 NFL FLAG)

Our High School Boys division is a 5v5 competitive format focused on high energy gameplay and development.
Players register individually and are placed on teams based on age, school, and experience level.
  • 5 game guarantee plus a Division Tournament or consolation game
  • Division winners are invited to advance to Playoffs or Super Bowl
  • Teams wear their own uniforms (not provided)
  • NFL FLAG belts are required
  • Mouthguards are required
This division does not include jerseys, flag belts, or mouthguards. Players must bring/purchase their own equipment.
NFL FLAG belts are available for $15 and mouthguards are available for $5 if needed.
  • $99 per player
**Coming Spring 2027: High School divisions will transition to a full 7v7 format.

High School Girls Division (7v7 – GPFF)

Girls Play Flag Football offers a 7v7 team based competitive format played on Sundays, focused on advanced gameplay, route concepts, timing, and coverage recognition.
Players may register individually and can request to play together by listing a coach request and/or buddy requests during registration.
  • 5 game guarantee plus a Division Tournament or consolation game
  • Division winners are invited to advance to Playoffs or Super Bowl
  • Teams wear their own uniforms
  • NFL FLAG belts are required
  • Mouthguards are required
This division does not include jerseys, flag belts, or mouthguards. 
NFL FLAG belts are available for $15 and mouthguards are available for $5 if needed.

Roster Placement Policy

Free agents may be placed evenly across teams within each division to ensure balanced rosters. All teams are subject to having players added throughout the registration process. No guest players are allowed.

Buddy & Coach Requests

  • Buddy and coach requests are reviewed but are not guaranteed.
  • Final placement is based on roster balance, coach availability, division structure, and overall league needs.
  • Late registrations and waitlist players have the lowest priority for requests.

Division Tournament and Championships

All divisions compete in a Division Tournament at the end of the regular season.
  • Top teams compete for the League Championship
  • Division winners advance to Playoffs or the Super Bowl
  • All remaining teams play a full consolation game so every athlete finishes the season on the field
  • Only 1st place teams receive Championship Rings

*High School teams are responsible for providing their own uniforms and equipment.

Equipment Requirements

Players must wear
  • Mouthguard (required each week, available onsite for $5)
  • Shorts or pants with no pockets

Additional gear such as shorts, sleeves, mouthguards, and flags may be purchased during registration or at Meet & Greet.

Schedules and Communication

Schedules are released approximately September 4, 2026.
We use the MOJO App to share rosters, schedules, and league announcements. Team codes are sent approximately 3 to 5 days after schedules are released.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
Our league depends on amazing parent volunteers to create a fun, organized, and positive experience for every athlete.
If you’re interested in being part of the season, please register as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Team Manager during player registration.
No experience is required—we provide everything you need to feel confident and prepared, including:
  • Training materials and coaching resources
  • A preseason Coaches Meeting
  • Ongoing support throughout the season
To help you get started, we strongly encourage all coaches to review the Official NFL FLAG League Rulebook prior to the season.
This resource outlines game formats, rules, and coaching guidelines to ensure a smooth, fun, and positive experience for all players.

Registration Details

  • Registration details, timelines, and deadlines will be shared during the registration process. A late fee begins August 1, 2026. Please register before this date to avoid late fees and maintain priority placement.
  • Late registration may be accepted based on availability and may include a late fee. Late fees will not be waived.
  • Uniforms and gear are distributed at the Meet & Greet.

Important Notes

  • All fees are non refundable. Registration is a commitment to participate for the full season
  • If your child cannot participate at your selected date and location, please do not register
  • By registering, families acknowledge and agree to all league policies, timelines, and communication
  • Late registration may be accepted based on team availability and may include a late fee

NFL FLAG Tournaments

All Colorado NFL FLAG participants are eligible to compete in official NFL FLAG Regional Tournaments throughout the year for a chance to qualify for Nationals.
